Established in 1999, Widenet Computer Services provides a responsive, friendly and knowledgeable computer repair, installation and support service for both home users and business customers alike. From our offices in Romsey, we additionally provide computer support to customers in Southampton, Winchester, Hedge End, The New Forest, Test Valley, Salisbury, Waterside and also further afield. With an unrivalled reputation we are proud to be the preferred computer install agents for the John Lewis Partnership in these areas.
Services
We have been working with The John Lewis Partnership West Quay since early 2001 and we pride ourselves in offering a first rate home installation and support service for many of their customers. Indeed many of our private customers, we first met when carrying out computer installations on their behalf and over time they have come back to us for tuition, advice, new installations and repairs.
Our aim is to provide a great service to our customers, so that they are not only satisfied with the work that we have just done for them but ensuring that they will feel confident about coming back to us, should they need to in the future. Here are some of comments that we have received over the years and although we have now stopped adding to this list, our reviews are now managed online via Google or Yell.
Nominated for the Test Valley Business Awards, we were later short-listed into the top three entrants in our category, The Waitrose 'Achieving Business Excellence Through People' Award. Widenet Computer Services were proud to be announced as the outright winners of the award, which was presented to them by David Gower OBE and Mr Crispin Ingham from the Waitrose group.

These guys like a challenge and my computer certainly provided that for them. Many thanks to Nigel and his team for their tireless efforts to get my elderly computer up and running again. They have given it a new lease of life and it functions much better than before. Recommend their services, you can't fault their expertise.

My Packard Bell computer has an Intel i3 processor and was operating Windows 7, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. I thought about purchasing a new computer operating Windows 10 with a 1 terabyte solid state drive(SSD). After checking out Curry's, John Lewis and one or two other retailers I started to think that maybe an upgrade of the existing computer might make more sense.
It was in great condition and I felt a bit guilty about consigning it to the rubbish tip.don't move, improve. That's when I paid The Computer Shop in Romsey a visit. To cut long story short, they upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and installed a 2 terabyte SSD for a third of buying new and they did a brilliant job.can't recommend them enough!

Brought my laptop to Nigel suffering from a virulent virus. Within 24 hours my machine had the virus removed, tuned to run quicker, and was physically cleaned for quieter operation. Also scanned my external drive locating and removing the culprit virus. Overall it was one of the best customer experiences and a friendly service at a modest cost. I cannot rate this business highly enough!

Recently needed my CPU checked out as overheating, and the previous support company I used no longer did hardware. Choosing Widenet was a good decision, they kept me informed all through the repair findings, costs and turnaround was excellent. Worth the travel from Chandler's Ford to To Romsey Can firmly recommend.

I have recently bought a new desktop computer and James transferred all my data and took great trouble to make sure everything was up and running for me. Nigel visited me the following day to help untangle my mess of cables and sort out a few connectivity issues. I have been an occasional customer for many years and have total confidence in Widenet. Their customer service is second to none and they are all very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
