PcHelpMan was started in 1998 by Stephen Freedman BSc (Hons). Post graduation, he saw a huge gap in the market for the supply of much needed IT support to local businesses and individuals in their homes. Having gained experience in various multinational corporates, Stephen noticed technology creeping into homes and smaller businesses.

I can't recommend Steve, PC Help Man, highly enough. I booked a home visit last week for him to give a thorough, very overdue, health check to my laptop, and also to re-start my printer which had stopped working. I found Steve to be professional, knowledgeable, very personable, and with bags of patience! I shall definitely be using his company again, and have already started recommending him to friends. Steve Freedman PC HelpMan has serviced my business PC, mobile and laptops now for over a year now and he is the most efficient, talented, knowledgeable, helpful and speedy computer service I've had since I moved my business to Hove in 2006. As I operate from home in a high-security line of work I can trust him implicitly with any content on my machines.

I have been a customer for several years but had to stop during Covid. Firstly having had no maintenance of my system for some time it was still in reasonable order, it was therefore left in a good state. My Virgin Media email account the been Hijacked and Diverted for 20 Days. I was confidence tricked by an email which I sent to "VM phishing" I was tricked by a reply telling me the Phishing was not a Con. 4 Calls over Many Days VM Support was UNSATISFACTORY.
All of my historic, important Emails are Lost. They had been available on IPAD but were lost after 20 Days when I reset the IPAD password. Stephen Identified the problem in 1 Minute and Corrected the Divert in another 2 Minutes. He Cleaned up my system and restored access to my Email. I have complete confidence in his capability and do not hesitate to Recommend his first class work.

Super happy with Steve's service. I phoned him out of the blue, needing help to set up my Pioneer DJ controller. He sorted that out, along with my Samsung laptop and speakers. Really friendly guy. Managed to fit me in at very short notice. Excellent value for money. Will definitely call him again if needed.

Steve diagnosed the problem with my laptop immediately. He suspected the fault from my description of the problems I was encountering and brought a replacement hard drive with him. This was installed promptly and the computer restored to efficient working condition. Very professional and good value.

Steve, was a very friendly and knowledgeable PC support person. It's hard these days when we rely on tech, and are working from home, to find someone who will help and who you can trust. Steve, was quick to respond to my initial enquiry and came along to look at my tech and talk about my requirements. He then gave sound advice and we ordered a new machine.
I would have felt anxious about doing this by myself. He then helped me transfer all the files and set up the software I use on the new kit. I recommend Steve for other home workers!

I have used PC Helpman for some years now and have always been very satisfied with the service he provides. Steve Freedman is knowledgeable and professional. Very often he is able to sort out problems remotely. Otherwise, you have the option of a home visit or leaving your equipment with him and he always aims to repair it as swiftly as possible. With Steve's help you can keep your computer in tip-top condition.

My desktop computer went from not working to working! Stephen was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to fix it- taking care of the hardware issue and making sure that everything would work at its best. The cost of pchelpman was charged to me as 30.00 call out charge. 30.00 per piece of equipment dealt with. There is no hourly rate. On this basis the cost can work out more expensive than an hourly paid engineer which is the usual method of charging. Thus one hours work dealing with 5 pieces of equipment can work out at 180 (for one hour) succeed or fail. There is no issue with the quality of work which was fine but the cost can work out as uneconomic compared to hourly paid engineers.

PC man didn't know how to solve the issue and he still charged me just for looking at my laptop. He was also wasting the time so from the half an hour I spent there he wasted on some other stuff like trying to light a cigarette, making a coffee. He agreed for me to come slightly earlier, however, he wasn't ready. Very unprofessional. Also, he turned to be a liar as suggested that he will refund the 50% of what I paid, however, he never did. I wasted my time and money.

She came to me requesting a digitial certificate for a Polish Health Job application, which I provided, but in the end in turned out that this specific website could only accept digital cert's generated by themselves for which there was a charge. She didnt want to pay them for this.
IN teh end I only charged Monika £20 for my time, and refunded her £10.

I first met Steve in June 2006 when he came to set up my PC, and for a short time afterwards regulalrly visited to show me the ropes. Since then, he has come on occassion to solve numerous problems. So far, he has never failed to solve any of these problems, and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to anyone requiring repairs and/or advice relating to their computer.

PC Help Man got me out of a serious spot, allowing me to keep working at a very busy time. I can't recommend Steve highly enough. Really professional, down-to-earth, expert advice in language I could understand, and great value. He also helped sort out a number of other issues which were not the immediate problem.

My Shuttle PC was suffering from a fault that deprived me of Internet access and I thought it was done for. After a quick call to Hove and then taking it in, Steve diagnosed the problem quite quickly. I left it with him, and a couple of days later it was fine again: a faulty Networking Card. He's a good guy, quick and reasonably priced.
