Took a large failed raid drive in for investigation. The staff were very helpful and regularly kept in touch. Ultimately it was not cost effective to repair the drive but Tantra gave me a workaround to get the data off and keep the drive going. Excellent service. Thanks

Jaw-droppingly shocking service. Paid 630 for a nine year-old MacBook advertised as Grade A that later turned out to have dents in it. The computer then jammed during an upgrade, but Tantra refused to honour the warranty, charging 36 for the repair and citing customer error. Owner was extremely rude, patronising and belligerent when this cost was queried. Now referred to Trading Standards.

Got some extra RAM and an SSD upgrade for my 2012 Mac Mini. Was going to drop 1500 on getting a new MacBook Pro and I'm SO glad I took my trusty old Mac Mini to these guys first. A good price on the parts and labour and now the thing runs brilliantly. 2x HD monitors up. 6/7 apps running at once and huge spreadsheets and some code - no problem for this new beast! Also good from an environmental perspective to be upgrading an old computer rather than just buy a new flashy one. Thanks guys. Great job.

In response to Steve Grice. I am sorry you had problems with your computer after we put in a much faster Solid State Drive- it seemed to be running fine after the service. I am also sorry I was difficult about taking it back to a Hard Drive which we have always found to be much slower. I think there may be an underlying problem - possibly due to the age of the machine - I seem to remember it was a 2010 one which is really quite old for these - so there could be several age related problems. If you still have not resolved the problem you are welcome to bring it in and we will take another look at the problem with no charge for the diagnostic.

I just went in to see if they could fix my Macbook Pro which kept crashing. Within seconds they had told me that Apple would fix it for free, gave me a printout, and gave me the details to call. All this when they could have charged me 360 to do it themselves. Now that is what I call service! I will definitely go back! Thanks, guys!

Could have bought anywhere but the knowledge, advice and service is priceless at Tantric. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Second hand and over priced, the staff can be very offputting. I've often wondered if they actuall ever want to sell anything. Inside the shop is more like a hobby room than a shop, with bits of computers everywhere. That's fine, but unless you specifically need an old model mac, look elsewhere.
