The repair itself took more than twice the quoted time to compete, and because of this I was promised a price reduction on three different occasions over the course of almost three weeks. However on finally collecting my laptop I was told that they "can't do anything with the price" but (as if for consolation) I already had my student discount on there (this was a grand total of J5 for a job that cost over J100 which I have previously done at home myself).
When looking through the invoice and the quote I also discovered that in the final invoice the labour cost to which the discount applied had been more than halved from the original quote (thus reducing the discount), and the cost of the keyboard was J66. When I had initially verbally enquired about the repair I had been told that the total cost of the keyboard would be around J30.
Basically this company changes their prices to reduce their own costs and is more concerned with ripping off customers than it is with actually giving them the service they need.
