Our Story in a Nutshell
We looked at our business model and analysed our customers and suppliers, traced the money path and where
it went and to whom it went to. We decided to restructure our business in so that it focused and delivered on 3
promises : Quality Work, Affordable Rates and a Prompt & Fast Turnaround.
Quality Work :- Yes, because we understand that our customers deserve no less, have a proven track record
(having retained customers of 10+ years) and possess the respective professional qualifications and credentials.
Affordable Rates :- the business partners understood that low cost efficient computer repairs were essential and
it was agreed that the rate needed to come down to the absolutely lowest feasible amount. Why change
something that's working, well, its simple really - the money trail. Who gets the piece of the pie and who gets the
service? We found that if we were to trim every conceivable overhead and even a section of the customer
base, we were able to provide extremely affordable rates.
The most demanding customers were business customers so they were removed from the equation, which freed
up 56% of our time. The second was the bites in the pie, from basic services like British Telecom to the banks, the
list was too vast per job. Bank/merchant charges for debit & credit cards were stripped away. Investment in a
small print farm sees the printers gone. We redirected our free phone number away from BT (savings up to J900
per month). Staff, we are sorry to see one person go for the greater good of customers. Both partners have
agreed to start a blog on our website to carry on the concept Compulsory Overheads and Customer Orientation
(COCO). The COCO concept was innovated and implemented by Lumifix partners.
Prompt and Fast Turnaround :- because we have reduced our operating area by 12 miles, our best response
time could be within minutes of your call. Would you say that was prompt?
