Ged FitzGerald is the owner of SOS Computer Solutions, he trained with an IT company in Bath before setting up his own business in 2004. He now works in Bath and the surrounding area and offers a comprehensive, reasonably priced, friendly service. Ged has been a guest lecturer at the over 50's Exhibition in Exeter and the BRLSI in Bath speaking specifically on Staying Safe on and off the Internet.
We can setup your new computer as well as your printer, email, anti virus and we can transfer your files and photos from your old computer with our complete out of the box service. Ged supplied and set up a new computer, printer and screen for us and he was so helpful and instructive we can't thank him enough.
RANSOMWARE - where your files and photos are encrypted by a virus inserted by the scammers onto your computer. They will then attempt to blackmail you into paying a ransom to unencrypt your data but even if you pay you still may not be able to access it. The very best solution is to always backup your data either to the cloud or to an external hard drive.

Ged supplied and set up a new computer,printer and monitor for us and he was so helpful and instructive we can't thank him enough. He saved us the trouble and bother of having to do the setting up ourselves and the great thing was he organised everything from start to finish including sorting out a new broadband supplier. We didn't have to do a thing which was truly a blessing and we would like to recommend him in case you are thinking of changing your computer or having your old one repaired or serviced.He also serviced my wife's computer which improved its speed! My computer was sluggish and unresponsive (like early PCs! ) but after Ged's visit and carrying out a service, it is now working almost lik new. On his advice, I had another 512mb of RAM added and that has helped to make it run even better and faster, especially as I use mine for creating music. I cannot praise him enough - thank you Ged! You have turned a virtual nightmare into a dream come true.Highly recommended!

My old computer was very slow before I called out Ged. After a service and another 512mb of RAM my slow computer was transformed into a much faster version of itself. He also helped me increase my internet speed by contacting Tiscali and with his help my speed increased four times! I found Ged very approachable and would highly recommend him.
